Every morning (afternoon) I wander up to Gaylord's to get my coffee. Sometimes, the urge strikes to play a little video game with my change... which happens to be one shiny quarter.

So, if Ms. Pac-Man or Galaga are not being used as a table (they are, after all, table-top games) I stroll over, plop down and play.
Now, after many mornings and much thought put into it, I've come to the conclusion that Galaga is way more fun. No, it's not that it's more fun, it's that it feels better to play it... it's satisfying. There's something about pounding on the fire button and blowing up those weird bugs that soothes me. Moving a joy-stick to guide a yellow ball around a maze, on the other hand, always leaves me wanting.
In fact, recently I've found myself abandoning Ms Pac-Man games before they're done (usually this happens when I die in the first round.) Can you imagine abandoning a video game when you were 10? Never! Unless it was too weird and complicated like that Journey one they had at Ice House.
Anyway, I wonder if the Payd still kicks ass at Galaga.
